Wounderland@Royal Caribbean  Wounder of the sea

Welcome to Frankies Culinary Ventures, where every dish is a journey through flavors. Today, we set sail on the Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Sea and explore the culinary wonders of the restaurant Wonderland.

First up, we have "The Bird's Nest" Deviled Eggs – a creamy delight with a hint of heat. The presentation with the nest adds a touch of elegance, though some found the smoke a bit too heavy.

Next, a masterpiece – the "Reconstructed Caprese" with liquid olive ricotta powder and basil. Cherry tomatoes, ricotta powder, and a tomato sphere create a warm, inviting dish. A must-try, despite some components being on the sweeter side

Let's not forget the "Mad Hatter Purple Potted Shrimp" with Scotch bonnet air. Perfectly cooked shrimp with a crispy exterior, complemented by a spicy but well-controlled Scotch bonnet air. A dish to savor.

Now, a different experience – "Tomato Water with Bread Foam." Tasty, with a hint of sweetness, the bread foam adds a unique twist. A familiar concept done differently, leaving a memorable taste.

And the "Crispy Crab Cones" with cilantro, avocado cream, and ohba leaf. An intriguing choice with options for spice levels. The freshness of crab complements the creamy avocado, a hit among diners.

And let's end the Appetizes with one of my favorites from this menu..And behold, the "Citrus Seas" – Spicy Tuna with floral Yuzu granite. A favorite among appetizers, the lime vessel, diced seasoned tuna, and yuzu sorbet create a harmonious blend of flavors. A true delight for the palate.

Moving on to the main course, the "Luscious Short Ribs with Bordelaise Sauce." Tender short ribs meet a rich and flavorful sauce, elevating the dish to new heights. Mashed potatoes, though a bit cold, add a comforting touch.

Next on the tray, "Bronzino in Crispy Bread" with a tamarind spice emulsion. While the bronzino is a delight, the dish falls short of some expectations. The oily bread and unmemorable sauce leave a bit to be desired.

Now, let's sweeten the voyage with desserts. The "Magic Mushroom," whimsical in presentation, offers a cute ensemble of chocolate dirt, meringue, and fruits. The taste, however, leans towards the average side.

I dont have pictures of the last two desserts due to lost of power but I'll write a review on them anyway Moving on to the "Forbidden Apple" – a visually stunning dessert with raspberry cremeux, brown butter crumble, and yogurt ice cream. Though visually appealing, it shares a similar fate with the magic mushroom in terms of taste.

And finally, "The World" – a peanut butter ganache and Valrhona chocolate mousse masterpiece with salted caramel ice cream. A sweet and fun dessert, highlighted by the melting world effect.

Overall, the dining experience at Wonderland  earns a solid 3 out of 5. The service is impeccable, with attentive and informative staff. The culinary journey has its highs and lows, but the whimsical decor adds to the overall charm. We'll definitely be back for more, eager to explore different dishes and cocktails.
